Repeaters and Nets

The ECA hosts a weekly ARES® net on the 145.49 repeater, utilizing a negative offset and a CTCSS tone of 141.3 Hz. This net is held on Monday nights at 8pm. This is a directed net and all licensed Ham Radio operators are welcome to check in. Please check in with your call sign (phonetically), name, location, pager and traffic status.


The ECA conducts the St. Charles County SKYWARN® Weather Spotting Net whenever there is a National Weather Service (NWS) severe weather warning for the county. This net will be activated by ECA leadership as needed as a directed net, also hosted on the 145.49 repeater, utilizing a negative offset and a CTCSS tone of 141.3 Hz.


The ECA may also activate a Traveler’s Assistant Net as needed; Activation of this net is at the discretion of ECA leadership and is dictated by winter weather conditions. The W0ECA Traveler’s Assistant Net may be activated in the event of a Winter Storm Warning to provide assistance to travelers moving through St. Charles County during storms or in the aftermath of damaging storms which may cause traffic disruptions; This is a directed net and is hosted on the 145.49 repeater utilizing a negative offset and a CTCSS tone of 141.3 Hz.


The Missouri Emergency Services Net (MESN) is a weekly net that meets each Sunday afternoon at 1400 Central time, 2000 UTC. This is a directed net that meets on 3.963 MHz lower side band with an alternate frequency of 7.263 MHz plus or minus allowing for interference.

Check-ins are welcome from all Missouri stations, especially those affiliated ARES and emergency or disaster related or organizations. Check-ins are also welcome from stations in other states that are interested in emergency related communications.

Check-ins are first taken from Missouri by ARES districts, followed by Missouri stations unsure of which ARES district they reside, finally, check ins from bordering states are taken.
